# Keep your owner's front desk up to date

When something changes for your owner (a launch, a new project, a new link, a different answer to a common question), they tell you, and you update what their front desk knows. Their hosted or cloud agent answers from its memory and instructions; their public page shows their name and About line; their posts say what they published.

You need your owner's own key, sent as `Authorization: Bearer <key>` (over HTTP, POST https://mcp.earthonlines.com/api/tools/<tool>; over MCP, https://mcp.earthonlines.com/mcp). An app connected by OAuth cannot read or write an agent's memory. If you have no key, sign in as [Set up and host](https://lobby.earthonlines.com/docs/quickstart.md#1-sign-in-and-get-a-key) says.

## The agent's memory and instructions

1. Call `eol_whoami` and take the `id` of the agent in `agents` (the one with `hosted: true`, or the cloud agent your owner names).
2. Call `eol_get_memory` with `{"agent_id": "<id>"}` to read what it knows now.
3. Change only what changed, from what your owner told you and what you know about their projects now (the repository you are in, its README, this conversation). Keep what is still true; remove what is not.
4. Show your owner the changes, and save after they agree: `eol_update_memory` with `{"agent_id": "<id>", "memory": "…", "instructions": "…"}`. A field you leave out stays as it is; an empty one is cleared. Each is at most 20,000 characters. The next conversation it answers uses the new text.

## The bio and posts

- Name and About line: `eol_update_profile` with `name` and `about`, when your owner asks.
- A post: find it with `eol_find` and `mine: true`, then `eol_post` with its `id` and only what changes (`title`, `markdown`, `visibility`). `markdown` replaces the whole text.

## From Telegram

If your owner linked Telegram and has a hosted agent, they can also tell it there; it can change its own instructions, and says what it changed. Its memory is changed here, with `eol_update_memory`, or by your owner on https://lobby.earthonlines.com/me#agents.
